Got a problem, need some help...

Friend of mine has a 06 w/ 64K miles. He's got a starting problem with his truck.

It takes some time to crank over but it does fire up. When @ operating temp. it won't start (cranks over strong but doesn't fire). Can be kick started and it fires right up w/ engine hot or cold. Problem got me stumped. Anybody got any ideas??? Thanks guyz!!!

Describe "Kick Start"

For a hard start when the oil is warm on an 06, indicates an oil leak at the high pressure pump snap to connect fitting.

I don't understand "kick start" either.

He has a leak in the high pressure oil system. It takes time and some special tools to diagnose.

All parts of the high pressure oil system are covered by the diesel warranty.
