I was told that my pump bushing could have spun as the reason my tranny is pouring fluid from my bellhousing, can some explain to me what this bushing will look like if it is in fact spun? Thank you
The most likely cause is the front seal. They are known to go bad when it the trans gets hot. The seal lip flips and might return to normal once cooled down. Eventually it wears out though. There is an updated seal to correct this problem.
I dropped the tranny out and put a new seal in, but it still pours out the bellhousing, so I am assuming the problem is either the pump o-ring or the pump bushing has spun, or I installed the wrong seal, because the seal I put in looked different than the 1 I took out. The 1 that was in it was flat around the edge and the 1 put in was not(its what the autoparts sold me), actually the tranny is leaking more since I put that seal in

Reason: more info
Overheating is the usual suspect for this problem.
Check the vent on top the trans? If it's plugged it will push fluid out of the seal.
The correct seal is at the dealer for sure. It's made of Viton. They are a different color from the original. Gray vs black IIRC. Maybe you can check the part numbers against the one you installed?
