Are there any common places to check for vacume leaks? It idle rough, kind of like its missing some. Tried spraying brake clean/carb clean to detect vacume leaks but neather of the cleaners i had would make the engine rev up. Guess i need to find something that will make the engine respond.
My truck did the same thing. Do you have the original plastic lines? I just replaced all the plastice lines with rubber hose and the truck idles 100% better.
All of the plastic vacuum lines that run around the engine compartment. Spraying with carb cleaner is not really going to tell you much, IMHO.
I used a hand held vacuum pump/gauge to test each vacuum line/circuit/component on my '92 F350. I disconnected each one, tried pulling a vacuum, when it failed I replaced lines/components until it did hold a vacuum, then moved to the next.
