So as I was giving my 95' 5.0 a complete tune up today, but I accidentally I snapped a hose that I don't really know what it's used for. It's red in color, very small in diameter, and begins at a coffee can looking part on the left side of the bay if you were looking at the truck, wraps around the block, and then enters some kind of sensor on the intake. I'm sorry for the description, I'm just not exactly certain what this is used for, and will a common parts store like AutoZone carry this hose? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
yea if left broken it could possibly cause one,but if u just put it back together it wont,a good thing for a future project would be to run all rubber vacuum lines everywhere, the factory ones break easy like the one that broke on u,just try and lable them or somthin so if u have to remove them, ill tell u the main one that goes bad, there is a white one that runs up to the a/c/heater box that hooks up on top and it always goes bad and yur a/c wont go onto max becuz that door doesnt close.
I had a 96 F250 with the 300 and had to pull the intake manifold off. Simple enough job until you realize that EVERYTHING on top of the damn thing plus the exhaust manifold has to come off. When I went to yank off the intake manifold, I didn't see the red lines running around all over until all of them were broke. I replaced them all with rubber and no more issues. I regret selling that one but my 95 I have now is nice
