Have you seen this "Hypertech Inline Speedometer Calibrator Module"?
I found this product for my 2006 F250 V10. It plugs in to the gauge cluster and uses all factory connectors(I like thatI don't have to cut anything). But I haven't seen anyone taking about it. Everyone seems to run the truspeed or speed wizard. It is the Hypertech Inline Speedometer Calibrator Module Part #730111. They even have some good directions with pictures.
Here's the link for the directions:
Just wanted to know what you guys think. Is this a new product? I have the SCT X3 and It doesn't calibrate my speedo or odometer, that's why I need something for my 37's. Thanks
I called Hypertech the other day and the tech rep told me that either this "Inline Speedometer Calibrator Module Part #730111" or their "Speedometer Calibrator Part #742008" would work for my 06 F250 V10
He said the Speedometer Calibrator (742008) that plugs into the OBDII will work up to 43" tires on my truck. He said program the truck with this unit for the new tire size and then program the truck with my X3 and leave the tire size stock in the X3.
I don't understand how this hypertech programmer can supposedly program up to 43's and the X3 doesn't change speedo/odo at all. I kind of don't think they are right.
That's why I liked the idea of the Module (730111).
Just wanted to update this thread for any one looking through it. I ended up with the TruSpeed because I found it for $110 new on eBay. So I don't have any further info on the hypertech.
