e4od pump

can someone please tell me how to get the front pump out of the tranny, and also can anyone give me a clue of what to look for , I am trying to figure out why my tranny fluid is coming out of the tc insp hole at a fast rate. I replaced the front seal over the weekend and it did not fix the leak, so it has to be something else, I'm thinking maybe the pump seal/O ring is the culprit, which is why I am taking the pump out...somebody please help 1992 f150 4x4 e4od 5.8

there are 2 threaded locations on the pump where your pump bolts go.i beleive there at the 2 and 8 oclock position.find the right threaded bolts and screw them in about a half a inch and use a slide hammer with a hook on the end to grab the bolts.work side to side and the pump should come out.also look at the front pump bushing a nd the pump support on the converter for heavy wear.

thank you, when I had the tc out ,I noticed there was a very tiny groove on the tc shaft, I don't rember how far up or down the shaft it was, but the tc was turning freely without rubbing on anything, so I am assuming that groove is normal?
