Leveling Kit Installed [Pics Inside]

Hey guys,

Just had to show off the fruits of my labor this past weekend. A buddy of mine came over and we installed a Zone Leveling kit on my 2004 F250. I put F350 blocks in the rear and then added the spring pack and adjustable trac bar and shimmed the carrier bearing.

The zone kit was pretty good quality in my opinion. The only thing I wish they would have done different was to have better quality hardware specifically when it comes to the bolts that come to the spring pack. I replaced them with Grade 8 hardware. It was shipped with Grade 3.

Anyway here are the pics:

Before:

I do need to get an add a leaf in the rear I think to fully level it out. It's about 1" taller in front just by eye sight.

It was a pain in the ***, but technically it wasn't difficult.

Wow! That looks great.
It looks like the front came up a lot.

Truck looks awsome. Wait a while before doing the rear spacer block. Sometimes the front will settle enough after a couple hundred of miles, it might even out over that time. That was my personal expierence on past lifts I have installed.

Hey Mike-
How did you jack up the rear for installation of the rear blocks?

Just jacked up the rear axle and put jack stands up against the frame rail in front of the axle. I then lowered the jack from the axle and put the blocks in and reattached ubolts.

I don't think 4" blocks came factory on any F250. I've seen some F250's from the 99-04 model year that had a higher rear end than mine, but never seen a 4" rear block stock.

My leveling kit was $300 even. You can view a link and all the associated installation instructions here:
2-1/2" Leveling Kit

It's a good kit, but I'd get better bolts for the leaf spring packs.

i'll measure my rear blocks, i was just eyeballing them but my rear sits close to 4" higher than the front end does. it has a serious rake to it, kind of looks like a drag truck! and thats a good deal on a leveling kit! i priced one and they wanted 700 for it!

4" Blocks came factory on some , if not all the of the early '99 F250s.
Do you know when your truck was built? If it is early it will be from sometime in '98 until 3/31/99

Btw Mike the truck looks sharp, but i think you should get rid of the front bumper and send it towards TN!!!!

Another option would be using the 5" block from Readylift for that extra inch over the F350 block. I used it on mine because I wanted to have that level loaded, or slightly raked look. Mine installed without any brake line issues, etc
