Ok so I found a white 1995 F-250 2wd with a 300 I-6 and C6 tranny... I have not called as I am at work and wanted to get a couple reactions first from you guys... The bed is gone but... I have a spare white rust free bed that I bought for $100 a couple months back (was going to repaint and put on my gray 88 F-250)... it's a base model and a little beat up... cab looks to be very low on the rust... The guy needs to get rid of it and is going to junk yard this week unless sold... $250 for whole truck! he says it's complete except bed...
Is ther ANYTHING that would make this truck not worth $250????
well my old 88 got side swiped... the grey one that i have as my icon pic... so i have a door, cab and bed that are all trashed... I was half considering doing some major swaping with it and the 1995... My father in law needs a 300 I6 so I was considering using the motor on his truck... I was also considering swaping my drive line (4x4) with the ZF-542 into the newer 1995 body and frame... plus I would gain the AC from the 1995 (kinda nice during the hot humid summer months)... I'll probably start a new thread to ask what my options are with that swap out...

I asked the same question a few months back and got pretty much the
same answers, but I think I will qualify my answer now by saying "...IF
you can do ALL the work yourself, and IF you enjoy working on trucks"
(and IF its the truck you really want!)
I got mine for $100. but had to spend about $1000. bucks on it so far.
Needed a new battery, starter, muffler, and brake job (and the gas tank leaks, and possibly the radiator ;-( The worst part is that I would not
do it again because its not a 4x4, and I should have waited for one to
come along.

Only thing that comes to mind is that he doesn't have the title to it. Otherwise, unless $250 is more than you have to spare, you have nothing to lose.
