Transfer Case
I bought a 99 Superduty. There is a tube on top of the transfer case with nothing connected to it. Is this a vent? Should I connect a rubber hose to it? Also, there are only two bolts connecting the transfer case to the tranny. I know there should be more bolts, the open holes are there. Are they all the same size and if so, what is the size? Thank you

I think that vent should at least have a hose on it, run up to the frame, and then looped down so it can't fill with water.
As for the bolts, I have no idea, but support the transfer case with a jack, remove one, and match it up at the parts store

Thank you. I had concern the bolts may be different lengths. I stopped by a tranny shop and found out the bolts should all be the same. I forgot to ask about the tube. I plan to put a piece of hose on it. Thanks again

Well, a depth gauge would tell you if the holes are all the same depth. A dial caliper usually has a piece that sticks out when you open them up, that's the depth gauge.
If it was an open hole, you'd have lots of fluid pouring out
