Shortest wheel base I've seen
I found this on cardomain, sorry lost the link when this topic didn't go through the first time.
He said it was originally an F-250, he bought it shortened and mentioned that he's since put it on a f100 chassis with a normal bed.
Thought I'd post cause you just don't see this everyday, probably for good reason, ha, though it is neat...

Had to have been a slip joint in that driveline as short as that drive shaft would be. Or maybe no springs.

A short framed truck works great for hauling a trailer because all of the weight is over the rear axle. With this rig I totally agree with AX, it would flip with a fairly light weight on the back.

He could have had about 10 of those 100 LB. tractor weights the farmers hang on the front of there tractor when they have a heavy piece of machinery hanging off the back of there tractors . Allthough the front bumper doesn't look like it has been modified for that. It reminds me of the home made tractors the farmers made back in the 30s and 40s , out of old trucks because they could not afford a real tractor .
Right you are, that may have been what it started out as ,would explain a lot.
