I was just gonna ask roughly the same question....but my 94 150xlt doesn't have a lable under the hood. The fan belt routing lable is there, but no emissions lable. Did they all have lables?
My guess is 10 deg. BTDC with spout plug pulled on my 5.8L. My plan was to dial in a few more degrees when I replace the plugs, cap, rotor, wires & upgrade the coil.
It is an EPA regulation that for any vehicle sold in this country this information is available on a label in the engine compartment.
It says here that for heavy duty vehicles it will be affixed to the engine itself.
(Mine is on the underside of the hood)
Still not sure that the OP is asking about a '96 F150 or what engine is in it.

Perhaps he hasn't removed the Spout and the marks are way off from where they should be.
