Your X may not be equipped with those monitors? Some X's depending on GVWR and where the vehicle was going when new either have full blown OBDII or they run the old school OBDI programming even though you have an OBDII connector. My X is one of those that runs OBDI. It was built for the Chicago area and has a GVWR of 8900lbs. I know at least in Cali all had the OBDII.

If your Ex is rated for Federal Emissions it will never go to ready. If this is for a safety or emissions test they need to ensure they are selecting the proper GVWR located on the driver's door label. Most states have different rules for vehicles with a GVWR of more than 8600lbs.

i brought it to a private inspection station, because in NJ most of the people that work the state ones are idiots.. It has the federal emissions and they had to run the sniff test on it. Does sticker says GVWR 8900. It passed. And the person running the test said that state would of failed me because of overall readiness not ready.
