ODBII for 1995 PSD?

What type of scanner would I use for my 1995 F350 7.3 PSD? OBDII is 1996 and newer right? Does it really matter isn't all Powerstrokes 94.5 thru 97 the same?

The 95 is also OBDII.

I recommend the Auto Enginuity for it. You could just have Auto Zone read the codes for you if that is all you are after.

No I am looking for a device that ya'll are using to uncover some of the more complicated problems you help us with on here. Do these also show EGT's and things like that?

WOW Joe I'm sure that is a good one just a bit out of my price range.

What does it mean that one is CAN compliant?

The Auto Enginuity will capture live data while you are driving. It will read and clear codes. PM me and I will give you somemore info and a price.

I have a Scanguage from Terminator Engineering in my 95. It's an electronic guage that plugs into your OBD connector and gives you access to all the important sensor readings plus allows you to add additional inputs if you want. It will read and clear codes and perform injector diagnostic tests. I think they are about $250 or so. I like that it is always there and I can watch sensor readings and then I know what's "normal", should help when I do develop a problem down the road.
