Going to post these 2 nos ford 429 4V emblems for sale in the classified section, but was curious first off what they were on originally. The part number is D9TZ-60020A74-C on the original package. I know that is a 79 truck, but what type?. Any help would be appreciated. Thank's. Kelley.
I have a set just like that on my '82 L700, except they are 370-2V.
Somewhere in the early-mid '90s, they changed the 429 emblems to black backgrounds rather than red.
Though '78 was the first year they started using the 385 series in medium duty trucks, and '78s/'79s did have the 370 emblems, I don't recall ever seeing these 429 emblems on anything until around '81 or '82.
1987 and later is different (E7HZ60020A74C).

If anyone's interested, I found 16 of D9TZ60020A74A (370 2V) // 17 of D9TZ60020A74B (370 4V)

Do you still own the brown / cream 78? I have the same truck but in a standard cab. Looking to move to the super cab. Any chance you'd be willing to part with it? jjones2@gmail.com

Great resource, i sourced a glow plug relay from them for an orphaned, i.e. no aftermarket support, Perkins diesel Ford Ranger, Greensales is pretty good too.
