My Poor baby got her first deer!! Dont know whether to cry or be happy!!
now the fams got dinner in the freezer and i got to fix my baby!
But u should have seen the county cops face to see a para in his wheelchair field dressing a deer on the shoulder of the county road after dark!! CAN U SAY PRICELESS!!
He did help me and my son load it in the back- nice guy
I struck my first deer back in Sept, it was a solid hit but nothing really happened to the EX except the bumper got pushed up alittle and that broke the bottom 2 brackets of the right side headlight... Adjusted the bumper and replaced the headlights with projectors ( Projectors and HIDs are the BEST).
Friend hit a buck with his Sable, broke the Tie rod or stearing box and lost the ability to control the vehicle. Wasn't pretty. The Ex is a lot bigger, but I wonder if anyone else has heard of this happening? I have deer horns on mine...

You're not talking about those little stick-on deer wistles are you? If so, you wasted your money. Proven not to work.
the whistles typically produce a signal either at a frequency of 3 kilohertz (kHz) or 12 kHz. Both, as it turns out, are problematic.
The hearing range of white-tailed deer, the most common species in the United States, is between 2 kHz and 6 kHz, so the animal is not capable of hearing the 12 kHz signal.
Although deer may be able to hear the 3 kHz signal, it is only 3 decibels louder than the road noise created by the car, so the signal is buried.

Interesting, been lucky so far I guess. Lots of deer around here. Bet mine is a lot louder than 3 db's too...
Glad you came out of it ok. My wife hit not one, but two deer at once back in February, killed em' both. The X was fine, tweaked the bumper a little and broke the license plate mount off, had to get it from the ditch after I got back in town. No other damage....gotta love it!!!
