In hopes to clarify some confusion or add to it, in the middle 90s International had a mechanical injection; DT466 PLN (pump, line, nozzle) engine and a HEUI DT466E engine. After that series of engines became history, around 2000 or so, they were all then HEUI, so they dropped the "E" designation and went back to calling them DT466s.

Also the 1994 and newer DT466s have four valve heads and don't even have the same bore and stroke as the older agricultural based engines. Its a completely differant design.

Pwerstroke99, how does it run with those injectors and factory hpop, bb charger helps im sure, but thats a lot of fuel huh..

DT466 came out in the '70s first as industrial the later in trucks

Yes but that version of the DT466s last year was 1993, it was a casuality of emission standards and was always mechanical injection.
1994 and newer are a completely differant engine, they don't even share the same bore and stroke as the earlier engines.

This is true,a reals shame the origonal version 466 had to go down.It was the most durable engine IH ever made

Sneak,

Just figured while it was out, would replace all the things that could cause me problems while it was out.. Gonna need an oil pan soon so im gonna put a new one on.
