Question seats

I have a 1997 F-350, bucket seats, bottom driver side is shot. question here is does anyone know if the bottom of the van buckets are the same ? I am thinking I could place my cover on the van seat bottom, then use my original back on the van bottom, that way I can still have my pwr lumbar. I found a place that has new E-250 seats for $25.00 each. 1992 to 2009.

Thanks

I dont think the're the same. I had to replace my driver seat a while ago when I was cruis'in scrap yards looking for something I looked at the vans and they seemed to be designed to sit a lot higher and have a totally different design. I did end up finding a direct replacement though. Iverybody wanted to sell the whole front set for $300 my price up to $500 normal price. I already had seat covers on it cause there was a huge split in the seam when I got it, the seat padding was damaged, the lumbar didnt work, and all the lower plastic was broke. I found a "u pull it scrap yard that would sell just one piece. Same truck year and color, for $25 because it had a split in the seam about 3/4" long. I just kept looking and eventually found exactly what I was looking for for a whole lot less.

I had the same problem. My driver seat was completely shot. I looked on craigslist for awhile 2-3 weeks and i foud a whole front set out of a CC truck. Mines A SC so the bases were different. anyway they were $40 for the whole front 40/20/40 set so i couldnt pass it up. Idrove down to uvalde and bought the whole set from the guy still on the rails and i took it back to my shop. I took the seat itself loose from my electric base and threw away my POS seat. then I unbolted the Drivers seat off the set i bought from the slide rails and rebolted it to my electric base. its not quite as pretty because it didnt have the spot for the controls, but i just slid em under the seat when i got it adjusted right. the new seat had lumbar too so i just hooked it up to the plug where i unplugged the old one from the harness that runs the base
