waste gate open?

waste gate open?

Hi I'm newby in diesel I bought a 2002 f350 4x4
Did the presure test found leaks fixed those but I still hear a leak
can it be that my wg is stuck open and that is why I hear the leak ?
how can I tell if it is open

It's impossible to hear the wastegate.

What kind of problems are you having?

The wastegate is in the exhaust housing. If you pressure tested the intake side, you might hear air pushing through an open valve. I don't think all the intake valves are closed, so just because you hear air pushing through doesn't mean you have a leak. Just check the intake system (boots, I/C, turbo housing, etc.) for leaks.
