I have to check that today. It seemed to dump before when cold then I redid some tubes and switched the diverter valves over, and stopped dumping at warm up. That is good to hear about the millage. I want to see what I can get out of one of these things.
My 1989 f150 302 got 20mpg in town before i rebuilt it. i had a complete exhaust system, hooker competition heads with 2 1/4 duals 12" glass packs, electric radiator fan, msd cap and rotoracell plug wires
well whats going to hurt is with the C6 and those rear end gears and 31's the 5.8 will run at a higher rpm thus using more fuel. a 32-33" tire would be best for your gear ratio and tranny.
How many miles are on that C6? and when was it serviced last? In stock form the C6 is a power hog of a tranny. for well under $1000 us dollars it can be built to run way more efficient behind your motor. this would help mpg also.
I have a 5spd. ZF I believe. It is hard to get into 2nd sometimes, well not hard just not as easy as the rest but never pops out of any gears. It seems to be in really good shape. Do your think an automatic would be better.
