Was just looking into this myself in prep for the speed control recall. Local dealer says I can sign to decline the CPS recall Anyway, info I collected before says:

International 1825899C93 Black
International 1807339C92 Blue
International 1821720C99 Black (upgrade of the C93)

What's the "upgrade" for? Is that the one to get?

Local IH dealer said C99 was upgrade to C93. Not sure what changed.

The C99 was mentioned a couple times in the attached thread.

Greg, why the swap? Joe have you paranoid?

I'm curious if swapping in the blue CPS will affect the timing that is on your chip at all... I'm assuming it does. How does the truck run differently than before?

kainers ran a blue one for a looooong time on his PMR engine, so must be an ok thing to use!

No not paranoid about anything.. I like trying different things to see how they affect the other things..

It will retard timing a small amount but how much is not really known yet.

With the blue CPS, the truck is quieter and starts quicker.. Seems to idle smoother too.

I have all three CPS's (blue, black, gray) and so far the blue works pretty well.

After I don some testing, if the results are not good I will put my black one in.
