480 holmes

i pickup 480 holmes tow truck bed i plan mounting in the stock bed of my truck. i'll post some pic. later of what i plan to do there is one down the road form me

What not word from anybody no one ever want a tow unit in there truck ? Like the old service sation trucks...

i was going to mount a tilt flat bed on my cc 18ft long , so i think it would be cool to have a tow bed on a old dent side

theres a 79 up my buddys junk yard with a tow body on the back...wish i could get it but hes leasing some of the ground to his other buddy whos got a small scrap yard as well so i wont be able to get it

I had a holmes 480 twin line one time. It was a great set up, but the sling just wasn't gettin it anymore for these newer rubber nosed cars. Mine was like fordtrucknut's set up, not in a pickup bed. I think it would work well installed in a bed as long as it's tied directly to the frame like a 5th wheel hitch is.

that's the plan mounted to the frame. And some add a wheel lift too

My PTO runs of the Transfer case...Pop it in neutral and use the 4 speed gears of the transmission to run the slow or fast speed of the winch

I will see what I can do...we are supposed to get snow ...so it all depends on the weather....but i'd be more than happy to get you some pics.

i just got 79 f-350 cab and frame 4x4 too add to parts to build this truck
