motor mounts

how many motor mounts does a 1992 f150 w/ the i6 have? i crawled under briefly and found two that i would like to replace. what elso do i have to loosen up to jack up the motor when replacing the mounts?

yeah i figured. do i have to loosen up the trans mount to replace the two motor mounts? i cant even find the third mount.

the third mount is on the transmission lol it's really hard to miss you don't have to loosen it up there should be enough give to lift the motor enough to get the mounts out

are all three mounts the same part? im gonna need to order them.

no.

the trans mount will be one number.

and the motor mounts may be the same but probably are not.

The 2 motor mounts are 2 different parts, and good luck switching them out. I had a b!t(h of a time with mine. I hoisted the engine up to where it was smacking into the firewall, and it still wasnt high enough. I would recommend removing your upper intake to get more room when you need to lift the engine up.
