I am getting ready to put a new front tranny seal in my 92 f150 e4od 4x4
does anyone know if I can slide the tranny back on the cross members once everything else is disconnected? have to do it by myslf, so am just wondering if I have to drop the tranny down completely, or can I take the driveline and everything else off and just slide the tranny back just far enough, to put the seal in? thank for all info
ive done it by just sliding the cross member on a floor jack and using a ratchet strap to support the front once i had it back where i needed it but i was replacing a rear main on the engine. dont know if you will have enuff room to remove the converter and be able to put it back in since it has to come out about a foot from the front pump to clear the input shaft.
