Thanks guys, This is the bugger here http://www.dieselorings.com/template...pvsolinoid.jpg
I have the pedestal out - I have the o-rings - none of em are leaking, just tjought while Im here, why not. The backing plate is done and I have undone the Tork nut on the solenoid. You can wriggle the solenoid and I have try pulling it out but like I said it is rather tight. If it is a drama I will just leave it alone.
can anyone tell me where i can get the o-rings for the pack pressure selenoid on the pedestal ford does not carry them they said i would have to buy a new selenoid for 300.00 compared to probably 4-5 bucks for the o-rings
No one ever answered this guy's question, and now I'm having the same problem. The actuator will rotate, but I can't pull it out.
It's not leaking, but the o-rings come with Clay's turbo reinstall kit, so I figured I might as well replace them. As far as I can tell, though, there are *no* directions on the web for doing this.
Never mind. The "secret" turns out to be "wiggle and pull". It doesn't come out slowly, but in a hurry, such that the back of your pulling hand will hit anything in the way. DAMHIK\
Howdy all - how do you remove the EBPV solenoid from the pedestal. Im trying to replace the o-rings. Its quiet tight and I dont want to stuff it up..
you have to remove the turbo first then remove the pedestal it takes bout 2.5 hours or so there is a retainer clip or c clip on back part of actuator housing on the pedestal that holds the plug i call it. once you remove clip use a rubber mallet hit on the end of the rod gently just enough to push that plug out then remove components carefully and replace new seal kit
