The price is definitely right. What ever you do, don't forget the pics.
Huck runs 04 XLT wheels which were factory equipped with 265/75/16 D rated wheels. So he wasn't running oversized wheels and the fact that nearly everyone upgrades doesn't mean it should wear that bad. I know he stays on stop of his stuff and it was just a crappy tire. Check some facts
not sure what this is all about, buddy, but whatever. seriously though, no need to be getting any panties in a wad about. i merely stated that every situation is unique and that one shouldn't be implying that all terra grapplers were crap. i think you misinterpreted my posts, cause there was no ill will. where's the pass me the beer icon when you need it.
Actually he's not the only one they are a good tire from what I seen on F-150s and other Half ton trucks but I haven't seen them hold up well on a couple of PSDs the weight seems to make them wear more where they are a softer tire now this was a couple of years ago maybe they changed them recently. I am running 285 LTX Michelins just because I got a good deal in them but I will probably buy BFGs back might be more expensive as long as you don't do massive burn outs with them they do pretty good.

It's all good. I like to hear everyones opinion. That's what this is all about. Is there a tire I might be missing that would be around the same price as grapplers. Toyo's,Xtremes,BFG , etc seem to be a significant jump in price. ? I have seen the uniroyal I believe at wal-mart. But I don't know much about them.
Well, I finally did it. For reasons such as, (money) I went with 18" diamo wheels, and the grappler AT's which were by far the cheapest. I can always buy something else next time around. Thank you for all your ideas. I'll post pics as soon as they come in (3 days)
295/75-16s on stock rims. Early 99 CCSb 4wd. I had no stability issues towing our 31' airstream this summer. They are quiet and excellent in the mud. We'll see what a New England winter does to them. $660 shipped from ebay. Ordered them on a friday. Arrived on tuesday. I was impressed.
I'm looking at getting Dunlop Radial Rover M/T Maxx Tractions. They are E rated commercial grade tires for light trucks and have gotten good review on tire rack. I know they say mud terrain but its more of an A/T tread so its not too aggressive. They are priced pretty decently too so I'm looking at getting them in 305/70R16. I think that should be big enough for me.
