Anybody ever had any firestone transforce at tires. Just curious if they will last as long as the continental contitracs. My continentals have always got me about 65000 miles on the set before i replaced them but wanted something more aggressive this time because of all the rain we have had.
I have never had any luck with Firestones. Couldn't keep the sidewalls on the tires. The last set had 8,000 miles on them when sidewall left at 50 mph. Went to tire dealer and bought new tires. All of the bad tires were factory installed on new cars. Now I won't take delivery of a new car if it has Firestones.
well the reason i asked is the dealer where i get my farm tires. Just bought about $16000 worth for my cotton pickers told me i could buy a set for my truck with the discount for about $425. Which is a good deal taking in the fact my last set of continentals cost me about 1200. Got to love these 18 inch rims!

Wow they're proud of their tires in Tn. Load range E 17" michelins are about 150 ea. here
Well i can buy 17s for about that too. The 18s are much higher for some unknown reason. I can buy 20s for about 189 a tire. My local ford dealership quoted me 325 a tire for the continental tires. So i will go with the firestones.
