Whazzit mean when your coolant is black?
Fresh oil, fresh coolant, 40 km drive then black coolant, oil fine.
Exhaust looks white out of both sides (dual exhaust).
Compression good - 130-140.
Slight puffing noise from #1.
What year?........Which Engine?
Sounds like a head gasket leak, exhaust / coolant. Try pressure testing, inspect all spark plugs for evidence of coolant. Does there seem to be pressure in the radiator long after it has cooled down? If the steam is still coming out of the tailpipes after it is completely warmed up, I would think this might be a strong possibility.
well judging by the whole smoke out the tail pipe issue i would also assume the head gasket, but it seems as if you have already checked that.... ive been working on cars everyday for the past 10 years, and have yet to see a car with black coolant.... maybe your truck has a dark force coming down upon it..lol..
