Holley Red Pump?
How durable are they, and what does one usually run?
My truck has a lope at idle. Im thinking the lift pump is weak or air. But i cant figure out where it is coming from.

I saw a Holley Red down at the local Advance Auto a while back.
The price was close to 100 dollars, give or take a few.
After a check of the online price it looks like they are over 150 dollars now.

with all the problems people have had with holleys recently i would stay away. i am very happy with my carter though. i have an old holley red and its great but iv heard the new ones have alot less quality. summit is the cheapest place iv found.

The holley pumps run a sealed motor, and are bad for the shaft seal going bad and letting fuel into the motor, frying it. The Carter pumps run a wet, permanent magnet motor, and have no such issues. They pretty much seem to last forever.

I have herd were they will let fuel on the motor and try to burn the truck up, only herd that in one case and it was a holley blue pump so who knows

lowest price is amazon.
meets and exceeds the oem specs of the mechanical pump,so we shall see.
only around 45-50 bucks.
i run all the new lines today supply/return,both tanks to FSV.
now waiting for the new FSV to be delivered.

I've been running a blue on my drag bug for years never had an issue. You do have to mount them correctly with the motor vertical over the pump housing. I could only see a problem if it's mounted upside down.
