Which kit is that. the one in the pic above. How do you do that without removing the pan, or are you talkign about resealing the dipstock tube.
I shoudl go to the ih dealer and order some of that silicone, the ford dealer up here charged a friend of mine like 75 dollars for a tube of that stuff I think.

The dipstick tube adapter repair kit is International part #1846146C91.
The kit contains a gasket, small oring that goes on the tube, some RTV sealer and some Loctite flexible flange gasket eliminator. After removing starter you remove the dipstick tube and insert an oil galley brush with wire or cable tie attached into the adapter to keep it from falling inside, remove large nut (fan clutch wrench fits this nut), fish out large oring and discard, clean, fill adapter slot with RTV, coat gasket with Loctite gasket eliminator place on adapter and replace nut, tighten to specs and remove brush, coat outside of locator slot with RTV, replace dipstick tube.
