So I'm looking to purchase new front rotors for my 2007 F-150 2WD.(because of course the stock ones are crap). I was looking online an it asks if it has the heavy duty payload package or the base payload package. How can you tell the difference? My truck did come with a tow hitch and aux tranny cooler so does that mean it has the heavy duty payload package? Is the heavy duty payload package only for the 7 lug trucks? Any clarification would br great!
Thanks,
kjf-250
Oh and by the way the base payload package rotors are cheaper! (Dont know if they are thinner smaller or compleltly different?)
You can look at the information on the vehicle certification label(VCL) on the driver side door or door jamb. The GVWR and rear spring codes will tell. Your Ford dealer parts guys can tell you if it has the heavy duty payload package from the spring codes. You can also look at the size of the differential. Is the truck equipped with load range E tires and steel wheels and a 4.10 gear ratio?
Thanks for the info. It is only a 6 lug with passenger tires and a 3.73 gear ratio so ill assume it has the base payload package.
Thanks again,
