Another possible failure would be the magnetic pickup sensor inside the distributor that tells the ignition box when to fire. The part is pretty inexpensive, but a hassle to install. I was inconvenienced and driven up the wall for many monthes until I eliminated this problem.

i thought that, but i put a running dist. out of another pickup in and still nothing. Now is it possible if it jumped time that it would still spark?

As long as the dist. is going around it will spark, the test light on the coil neg. will blink on-off. That does not mean it is sparking at the right time, just means the IGN parts are working.

I would take your DS2 module to an auto parts store and have it tested.
