Ok guys. Last week while pulling my horse trailer on the interstate, the transmission light and check engine light came on. I took the truck to the dealer and they determined it was a failed shift solenoid. While replacing the solenoid they found lots of metal shavings and clutch material, and decided to just replace the tranny.
I should be getting the truck back early this week, and here is the question. Do I need to take it easy for a while with the new tranny, or can I just hook up to my trailer and go?
