We are in the Las Vegas area and oddly enough our 04 F150 had the original motocraft battery in it when we traded it in for the new truck last month. I was really surprised it lasted that long even after it was ran dead twice due to a faulty brake light switch.
That F150 doesn't put anywhere near the strain on a battery as a diesel does. They didn't put 2 batteries in them cause they had extras on hand.

If you read the thread I was responding to a poster who had a 250. The general thought in this area is that a battery does not last more then 2-3 years regardless if it was a single or dual battery. Thanks for letting me know that Ford is not installing anything extra in my truck, duh.
