I am interested if anyone else has experienced problems with their Electronic Air Temprature Control with the grill cover installed. I was getting outside air temperatures all over the map. This was making my inside cabin air impossible to control. I feel I have to run the grill cover in snowy conditions because we live in Michigan and make several trips to the UP. for snowmobiling trips. I can't believe the Ford engineers didn't forsee this side effect to the the snow ingestion problem. For anyone interested, we believe there is a fix.
I had the same problem last year when with my winter cover. I only used it for about 100 miles then took off on the side of the hi-way and never used it again.
Come to find out ,there is a TSB from Ford regarding winter grill cover and snowplowing issues. I must say that I went to Ford customer service and they noted my complaint about my heat control going crazy with the cover on. Their response was (we are sorry but that's just the way this truck is engineered). I found out there was a TSB concerning this from my local dealers service manager! He provided me a part, from Ford, to relocate the temp control so it would not be affected by the grill cover. I want to say I want to thank my service manager for investigating my concern. without his help I would still be having this issue.
