Why dose the inside pad wear out long befor the outside? The caliper moves free not frozen and the out side looked good the inside metal on metal? 2001 f250 sd with v10 4x4

Frozen caliper slide pins. When the pads are replaced you should remove the pins, make sure the rubber boots are not torn, and lubricate the slide pins.

they move free and are clean and regreased They were NOT frozen

It's a pretty simple system. There really isn't much to go wrong. If the slides move freely then what you describe can't possibly happen.

Rough/scored rotor surface or loose/worn slider pins.

it is possible i just changed them like that..... Calipers slid nice and smooth. the rotors were starting to warp on me
