So i just put in some Sylvania Silverstar Ultra (4100k) headlight bulbs. They are very bright, but I know they will be even brighter when I upgrade from the 99 foggyish headlights to the Newer clear ones right here:
I also heard that I can get some kind of new wiring harness to increase the power to them and make them even brighter. If so, where can I get them and how much are they? Are they worth the money?
20 bucks for shipping seems high to me. I used some plastic polish on my 2000 Ex and they came out like new.
$20 for shipping is high for those lights. Most of these ebay vendors factor some of their profit margin in the shipping fee. So, if you look at it from the perspective that you get these headlamps for $130 shipped to your door, then it makes more sense.
Yes, these are cheap imported headlamp set ups. I picked up a set last year and for the money they're just fine, and light output is greatly improved over my original ones. (And they were not fogged up and oxidized at all)
Right on. Ya my stock headlights are in good shape (used the cleaner kit) but they still arent cutting it. Looks like those are the one's I'm going to go with. And how much of a difference does that harness make. Worth the $70 bucks? I believe this is the right one: is it?
And Alvin, your truck looks good. Where did you get those small foglights on either side of your license plate? I want ones like those. Been looking for ones that would fit perfect like that. Do they make a big difference?

Thanks
They're stock foglights. They throw a decent beam down low and close, with a wide pattern off to the sides. Pretty much as good as fog lights can get.
Yuck. Good work on fixing the aftermarket lights though. I have never found aftermarket lights for any vehicle that were good as OEM. Is it that difficult!?
jc8825, You can get aftermarket ones that are way better than the stocks. The ones he has on his truck for example. Clearer lenses + bright bulbs is the way to go if you ask me.
spool&go, yes that is the harness I used. I don't know how much difference it made because I put it on when I changed to the '04 headlights. If you could find the lights at a junkyard or something I think your better off with Ford lights. I was lucky & swapped mine with a work truck, they are much better than the foggy ones I cleaned & polished the sh-- out of. I also have the silverstar bulbs & think the lights are fine.
10-4. I'll look into it. Thanks for all the info. So, I actually just ordered the ones i posted the link to above, $122 bucks. The only issue is that i sent the payment through without clicking on the alternate address i have in there. So now it sent him a payment confirmation with a washington PO box address on it! . I sent him a couple messages asking him very nicely to ship it to my MT address. I hope he gets back to me with a "yes, no problem". Otherwise I'm F@*#ed because UPS doesn't even deliver to PO boxes. What will happen if he doesn't let me change the address ? anyone know?
