Electrical issue
I have a electrical problem with my 2005 fx4. When I shut the engine off and leave the truck, then get back in to start up. none of the gauges work nor does the radio. After about 5-10 seconds, the gauges start to work, and the radio comes on however its reset. Almost like the battery has been disconnected. I'm thinking regulator, but i'm not familiar with these new vehicles.Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

The voltage regulator is integral to the alternator in these trucks. Never heard of one dying out. These trucks do some weird things when the battery starts to go out, you might want to get it tested.
