I just finished the Automotive Restoration Diploma course at Central Carolina Community College. Took 1 full year (3 semesters) and Im about to retake the painting class just to get a few things figured out. They also have a night class that you use their shop and paint booth for pretty cheap.
Technically I'm a high-school senior, but I'm "dual-enrolled" at a local community college taking Psychology, Statistics, History of Western Civilizations, and an automotive brakes class this fall. I'll have a different load of classes there in the spring, so by next summer I'll have credits from 8 college level classes (plus a couple I did last spring, U.S. history and automotive Engines 1).
Work load sucks so far... Not sure how anyone can handle 5+ college courses and have time to do anything else at all in 4 year schools.
