I am going to Ohio State for Agronomy with a minor in Livestock Science. Right now I am at their Ag Tech Institute in Wooster and will transfer to main campus next year.
I'm still in high school, whole nother yr before i'm done. After it though i'm gonna go to UNCC for mech eng. and there auto. program. After that I have no idea. Hopefully the demand in racing will be higher when I graduate.
Taking all my core classes right now. Last semester it was: Mechanics, Forestry, Ag II, and PE. Now, it's: English, US History, Algebra II, Biology. My life sucks right now.
I just finished up a semester at OSU and was taking Foundations of Teaching Agriculture, International Agriculture, Agricultural Sales and Marketing, Educating Exceptional Learners (special ed class), and an educational psychology class dealing with adolescents.
I'm in my 3rd year and really getting into some core, major oriented classes.
i am in school for nuclear engineering in the navy right now, finished my first school, and now i am in my second school, which is 6 months long, i have 4 months of this school left and then another 6 month school and then ill be done with all of my schooling and i can then go to a ship and work on the reactors on ships
Graduating in December with a degree in Civil Engineering, what I've been doing is taking on internships while working for a construction company on the side. If I can't get a job right away from my degree I have a stable job as a supervisor in the construction company so its all good.
I would make more as a civil engineer though here in CA.
advanced massage therapy
Oil viscosity- friction theories
Decal demographics & performance (how many stickers to install on a ricer to gain hp grin)
Snippie communications 200 (how to really tick off people older than yourself without using a single 4 letter word)
Throw in the labs....whooooooaaaa! Thats almost 15 units here
Right now I'm looking at an internship where I would be working for the Ford Tech Hotline. If a technician gets stumped with a vehicle at a dealership, they would call the hotline, and I would try and walk them through the repair process using my knowledge of engineering, and an extensive repair database.
I HATED those guys when I worked at the dealership. i hope that ford has higher standards for the position than chrysler or chevy does. chrysler was the worse, usually spent more time on the phone with them just to get them to clear installing a part than what the job payed.
I also specifically remember telling my boss that i didn't ever want to meet an engineer, while leaning over a jigsaw puzzle known as a duramax. now its just ironic
I already have an associates in auto technology, and military training in electronics (requires security clearance)
I am just taking an online psychology class, not alot of options or time in afghanistan. but its a core class that i can get out of the way.
found the sae car neat though, CSU (where I will be studying mechanical engineering myself starting fall 2012...) has competed as well, but i think its been a few years.
and as far as going 5-10 years and then getting the degree, 2 years is plenty of time in a shop to have skills to apply, and puts you in front of alot of guys that go straight into the 4 year program
I not only have the two years in the dealership, but 2 years of welding, fabrication and manufacturing, and almost two years of driving a truck. plus the military national guard. and i very much plan on working a real job while in college. no fast food here.
