Voice your opinion. Lets plan a get together that will be fun for the hole family.
I would like to plan a get together at, Old Town, in Kissimme FL after the first of the year. Lots of stuff to do for the whole family. It would be a great time, with a car show to see after we all meet, rides for the kids, and lots of food. So lets make this happen and make the other chapters look up to the FL Chapter.
I think the 9th looks the best after looking at Old Towns Special events, they do not have anything going on that day except the regular Saturday night car show.
Now the 30th they do have the Ford Lighting Club meeting there from 9 to 3 in the parking lot, we would have to contact Tracy the Special Event Manager, Old Town, And check with her if there would be room.
Great job Casey, Old Town is a primo spot to have the meet at, the kids will love the fun spot next door. Also, if anyone is interested in hotel stay, there is hotel right next door called the Seralgo, its fairly inexpensive and they have family suites. A little bunkhouse in the same room but it has its own TV in it for the kids. But the price is extremely reasonable. I think I paid about 69.00 a night and it has a free breakfast bar. I am picking Saturday January 9th.
Anyone interested in meeting up at the NMRA Spring Break Nationals in Sarasota/Bradenton at Bradenton Motorsports Park in March? I am sure we could get a little area for the Ford Trucks somewhere in the parking area. I can get with a few people PROBABLY and arrange something like that over there.
I guess not since NO ONE has stepped up to say YEA OR NAY.
It's a shame that not one member is willing to step forward and take a leadership role.
So Casey, this was your recommendation, are you meeting or not?
George,
No I'm not going to, meeting at Old Town is to big of a meet for a first meet. No one even showed up for the last scheduled meet (just in a parking lot) with no one even posting they where not going to be able to make it accept myself. We need some effort put in by members and have at least a first meet before i believe anyone will step forward and try to revive the Florida Chapter.
