Yep... No sense in I know others have tried. Our last leader just disappeared. The one before that could not get anyone from the Miami area to show for a meeting. He tried giving away everything from electronics to food and still no interest. I even suggested using the Florida Veterans Reunion in Melbourne as a meeting place. No one stepped up for that.
It's the "I've got other things to do with my friends", "It's too far or in a place I just won't go" syndrome. I know I have it. I can't see driving 100 miles to a meeting with people I don't know. I'll do it if it involves motorcycles, but not trucks.
I've said it before, truck are a vehicle that most won't keep more than a few years. Motorcycles are something folks keep for many years and just have more of a passion for...
I know I kinda laugh out loud at what happens in the Florida chapter, but it's just so interesting to see the fits, starts, sputters and stops that happen every 6 months or so with this non chapter...
And I commend Glruff for keeping on keeping on trying to get it going...
Anyone interested in meeting up at the NMRA Spring Break Nationals in Sarasota/Bradenton at Bradenton Motorsports Park in March? I am sure we could get a little area for the Ford Trucks somewhere in the parking area. I can get with a few people PROBABLY and arrange something like that over there.
I work in Sarasota (and have a condo) and have a house in Cocoa. I could make it...

Hey Ryan,
I would be up for this. I live right here just off of st rd 64 in Bradenton just 3 miles from the drag strip.
That would be awesome, I have some connections with ProMedia Publishing who runs the NMRA/NMCA event and some people I know at BMP that could probably get us a little area for our trucks, the thing is that I would need to know exactly how many. The parking is free, but the even is 15.00 a person. But its the best of both worlds. Ford Trucks at a Ford Racing event.
I will start a new thread and to see if we generate any interest.
