Yup, there not your average starter, only problems I've heard so far are some engines sit a smidge closer to the cross beam under the motor than most and need a tiny bit of the beam ground down to fit like less than an 1/8" but these are rare occasions.. Also the stock power cable lug is bent at a 90 degree angle and ya gotta straighten it up and snip off the centering tip so it'll go on the starter lug right but thats easy..
now when you replace the starter are you also replacing the solenoid?
im not sure if the solenoid and starter are one piece.
in that pic do you get the solenoid with the starter?
i recommend the db electrical starter also. i got it right from their website. cheaper and no core. i couldnt believe how fast it turns the truck over. i recommend having another person help you because it was easier for me to hook up the wiring then mount the starter. i did it myself but wouldnt recommend it lol
db eletrical started two thumbs up! this thing is incredible!
called two days ago and had it at my door less that 48hrs. $145 shipped from tenn - mass. this thing turned the truck over in a split sec. WOW!
glad to hear you got her running again! yeah those db starters work pretty slick. i put threadlocker on the bolts buecause i was worried about that huge starter being held on by only 2 bolts also
