Replacing glow plugs
Replacing glow plugs
I did a search first, but didn't really find an answer. My EX has 192.000 on the clock. I doesn't start on the cold mornings as well as it use to. Everything cycles well, and it always starts. And once started in the morning there are no other problems starting and running the rest of the day. I think it might be time for new glow plugs. I put a new set in my 96 last fall and it starts up great in the cold, even without using block heater. What is the best way to test them ? and how hard is it to change on the EX/Super duty-i.e . will the valve cover come of without removing the body? Thanks
The valve caovers will come off without removing the body. I just replaced my glow plugs a month ago or so. I thought the passenger side was harded to remove than the drivers side.
check out some of my threads and you will see the process into checking them.
