Yea im a sophmore so this is my second year im home in texas for a month for xmas break. Going back in a few days though and your right its gonna be real cold. Yea i did hear about the radar detectors though. Thanks for the advice, btw i dont suppose you know any places to go offroading around there do you?
Not one place in particluar. Get friendly with one or more of the local fellows. Everywhere around there should be a good place to 4-wheel.
You are obvioulsy a bright young man who gets out some. I haven't been back home in over two years and I haven't been anywhere near Blacksburg in probably 15 years. That said, I know what kind of folks live out that way once you get 5 miles away from Tech and Radford an they are the kind or folks that will likely be into the 4-wheelin. My recommendation would be to stop by a local 4x4 shop and keep an eye on the local carwashes. Next time you see some guy (or gal for that matter - it is western Virginia mountain folk we are talking about here) hosing his (her) mud off, stop in and introduce yourself.
You may also wasn't to join the Virginia Forum. They seem to be prettty active or at least they were for a while.
Yea thats what im thinking but i dont really know anyone thats into this type of thing. But hey thanks for the help
It's not hard to find them in the Spring/Woodlands area. Just look for someone who has a jacked up truck and/or one that's covered in mud. They'll gladly share their favorite muddin' spot. They might even invite you out to mud with them the next time they go.
Spring creek is a pretty good spot, it's mostly sand but everyone usually muds out there when it gets a little wet. But for the most part, you have to look; they're there, you just don't see them.
yea ive heard about spring creek but i definitely need to find someone else to go as going by yourself isnt a smart idea especially if you get stuck. But thanks for all the help its greatly appreciated.

Yeah, you also sometimes run into a bad crowd out at Spring Creek. So it's always good to have a buddy with you or know someone you can call if you have some trouble.
Like I said before, whenever your're driving around look at some of the roads and/or paths you're passing; they sometimes lead to some of the best spots. Just make sure it's not private property and you won't have a problem.
I'm in Waco. Does this forum have a classified section to buy, sell, or trade Bronco stuff for the Texas area? I spend a fair amount of time on the Austinareastangs.com site looking for Ford related parts.
