I am looking to put power steering, front disc brakes and upgrade steering column. Any help on info as to what will fit will be of great help. It has a 352 cid in it and c-6 tranny that needs rebuilt. Any suggestions on different tranny. I have a c-4 in the back yard. Is it possible for me to rebuild either tranny with a rebuild kit? Do I need any special tools? I am mechanically inclined.

I had a 66 F250 that I put power disc brakes and power steering on that was equiped with a 390. If your truck is a half ton the best way is to get a front end from a 74-79 truck and swap it in, the power brake booster is a tricky swap but do able, same with the power steering. Now the tricky part is that the steering column shafts are different from the manual and power columns, I retained the factory column and just put the shorter shaft in. 78-79 columns have a tilt feature but they are becoming harder to find. Now the 65-66 used 2 different power steering boxes which required different engine frame brackets depending on which one is used, these brackets are very hard to find, I was able to use a late model box by modifing the existing frame bracket. All in all it is a striat forward swap and just takes a little planning
