yet another egr question

ok i have a 96 f150 5.0l. i put on a set of 69 351w heads and wanted to know if i could remove the vacuum lines from the harness and the two plastic sensors (that face the upper plenum) on the braket that holds my coil. there is no egr pipe between the two heads that have the solenoids that these two sensors operated. will it set off my cel? about two years ago i broke my egr pipe between my upper and lower intake because i bent it to much when it was cold . i have one from a 90 in it now but it dosnt have the two ports going to the small sensor next to the throtle cable brakets and when i had it tune he said that he shut that part of it off so it wouldn't light the cel.

I think you are referring to the AIR pipe and TAB/TAD solenoids. You can remove the vacuum lines without setting a CEL. If you unplug them electrically you definitely will throw an error code without some more reprogramming of your PCM.
