front cab mount brakets
I see these are available for my 71 F100 2 wheel drive . Since the drivers side bushing is pushed through the old front corner braket how do these get installed ? Is it ok to set the new one in under the bad braket ? Should it be welded or pop riveted to the old one ? Sheet metal screws ?

you know, i have the same problem. From what I have heard, and who I have talked to, you pretty much have to jack up the cab of the truck, to get to the mounts. My truck is a 68 f-100, and the bottom of the corners went soft. I know a guy who said if the rest of the corners are good, the jacking it up, welding steel to the bottom, and resetting the mounts should work. I've also talked to body shop guys, and they say that this is an expensive job to do.

yea it looks like a lousy job either way . the drivers side is rotten just above the rubber puck but the passenger side has rust cracks on the side of the bracket . sucks for sure . Might end up taking the cab completly off the frame
