HIGH REV NOISE
My 05 has an intermittent high rev sound, but the rpms and turbo boost gauges appear normal. Anyone know what this could be? The oil and fuel filters were changed recently & the oil is not over filled. My truck hits 5 years next month, so warranty is almost gone.

I'll still bet on the cooling fan.....does it do it while at a stop/idle? Do you have an optional water temp gauge or just the idiot factory gauge? How many miles on engine? Have you cleaned the EGR valve?

I have 64K on it. It mostly does it while I'm driving, not at a stop. No extra gauges. I haven't cleaned the egr. I'm afraid it's the turbo and need reassurance it isn't. I'm debating on the extended warranty for 2 more years.
