Painting plastic chrome
I am wanting to get my chrome grille painted so I called the local body shop for a quote and they informed me that it can't be done. Since I feel that anything CAN be done, whats the scoop? Does anybody have any experience or helpful information on painting plastic chrome?

They just don't want to warranty it. My buddy owns a paint supply company. It's all in the prep and materials. You must take it down to the ABS plastic, spray with adhesion promoter, prime, paint and clear.
I have an OE black ABS grill that I've been trying to get rid of for a while. I was going to do the same thing but decided not to.
