Been trying to research this with little luck, so I'm asking the question: Is it feasible/possible to convert a 60x40 manual seat in a 97 Scab to power on the drivers side? Been looking at some diagrams and looks like you can just swap out the base/track on the drivers side and add power to convert it to a power seat.
Can anyone confirm if my analysis is correct or has done this? If it is, looks like the base would have to come from a 97-03, again is this correct?
Appreciate any thoughts/ideas on this. If you know where there is a writeup on doing this, would appreciate that too. Thanks
Well i know that my truck has the power hook up for the power seat underneath the drivers seat. I would start by looking for the whole in the carpet under the drivers seat and see if you can fish a power wire out. After that its just plug and go and bolt i guess.
I did it on my old 97 XL...found some leather buckets out of a Lariat.Bolted right in,and I ran a B+ and ground line to the fuse box under the hood. As long as you use a decent higher gage wire you should be good to go.
